Other Connectivity projects
Connecting Victoria builds on the state’s previous $130 million investment in connectivity projects and will bolster the state’s economic recovery.
Victorian Mobile Project
The Victorian Mobile Project invested $56 million to improve mobile coverage across Victoria.
Around the state, 233 places are now better connected with new mobile base stations.
This project has upgraded mobile coverage in hundreds of areas across Victoria and has also improved safety by allowing people to contact emergency services in more locations.
A further $300 million will be delivered through Connecting Victoria for new mobile infrastructure to connect more than 1,000 places across the state.
Enhanced broadband in Morwell and Horsham
Businesses in or moving to the Latrobe Valley and Horsham have access to a world-class local broadband network.
Fixed wireless towers in and around Morwell provide coverage to the Gippsland Hi-Tech Precinct and Innovation Centre, the Gippsland Logistics Precinct, Morwell CBD, the emerging Food and Manufacturing Precinct, and the Aerospace Precinct at Latrobe Regional Airport in Traralgon.
