Expected to attract thousands of Australian and international delegates, these critical industry events maximise exposure for Victorian companies, provide access to investment capital, and reinforce our position as a key global leader in this sector.

A Victorian Government pavilion will feature ten of the state’s leading businesses and sector organisations, and host several international delegations. AusBiotech 2019 includes the investment pitch-fest Australia Biotech Invest– two of five international life science events the Victorian Government has successfully secured for Melbourne in 2019 and 2020.

Victoria’s life science industry is one of this state’s most important high growth sectors, supporting more than 75,000 jobs and generating more than $2 billion in exports in 2018. Between 1999-2017 Victorian Government support for the sector has generated $39.6 billion in additional sector revenue and delivered more than a three-fold economic benefit on investment.

With strengths in clinical trials, cancer research, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical development and digital health, Victoria is well-placed to improve patient wellbeing around the world.

AusBiotech, Australia’s life sciences conference, runs from 30 October – 1 November at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Visit the event website for more details.
