About us
Our purpose
The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions is firmly focused on Victoria’s economic recovery and growth, ensuring it benefits all Victorians – by creating more jobs for more people, building thriving places and regions, and supporting inclusive communities.
Established on 1 January 2019, our work spans 15 portfolios, supporting six ministers and the Secure Work Pilot for the Minister for Workplace Safety. We operate across metropolitan, regional and international offices and oversee various public entities, including public corporations, regulatory authorities and specialist boards.
